Butterfly Greeting Card | Distress Ink

Following on from yesterday's post featuring the Cube Clamshell Gift Box, I often have scraps of inked or painted backgrounds left from such projects. 
              
I try to make use of these, usually turning them into greeting cards.
                            

               

This card features a favourite technique of mine, using acetate as the card front.

This card was so much fun to make!
This "Twit Twoo" die set from Crafter's Companion makes an amazing card topper.

Valentines Card for Men | Distress Ink

Following on from yesterdays card I'm sticking with the same colour scheme today.
       
This card may be best suited for valentines day, but I'm always fashionably late so why change the habit of a lifetime?!
                            

               

I cut out the heart freehand, intentionally going for a lopsided look.

Tri-fold Shutter Card | Distress Ink

I simply LOVE creating inky backgrounds!
          
Over the next 3 days I will share with you 3 different cards using the same inky backgrounds.
       
You can of course create these in any colour, be sure to tag #thecrippledcrafter on social media to show me your cards using any of my ideas.
                            

               

Whilst Tri-Fold Shutter Cards are not a new concept, I created this pattern myself, to fit in an A6 Envelope.

Fairy Card | Daisy's Jewels & Crafts

Throughout 2017 I was priviledged to be a member of the Daisy's Jewels & Crafts Design Team.

I love the doll-like appearance of this fairy!

Combining Spectrum Noir Products - Aqua Markers & Sparkle Pens

Good morning friends! You may have seen THIS card recently on my blog.

Today I'm sharing the same basic layout but instead of just Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers, I added a little of the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens to the background and coloured the whole of the butterfly with the Sparkle Pens.  

                  

                                   

Because both of these products are waterbased, they really do work fantastically together, giving even more scope for fantastic colour filled projects!

                           

You can find a list of all the materials I used below.  I am also planning (in the near future!!) to do a video tutorial for this style of card, including how to do this background, so stay tuned for that.
