This weekend marked London Pride, the UK's largest event celebrating diversity and equality for our LGBT+ community.

Star Trek Pride Delta by Sam Lewis AKA The Crippled Crafer | LGBT+

As a member of the LGBT+ community myself, and of course a huge Star Trek fan, I combined the two in order to create this LGBT+ Pride Star Trek Delta!

To read more about diversity and inclusion in Star Trek, click HERE for an article written by myself recently.

Crafting Star Trek | Borg Cube Money Box

Thought I would FINALLY share with you a Star Trek project made months ago!

Those who know Star Trek will hopefully recognize this as a Borg Cube, the primary space ship utilised by arguably one of the franchises best villain races!

I made mine entirely from scratch and the green areas light up!  There are 2 coin slots in the lid, one each for silver and copper coins. Then there is an additional section inside for saving or hiding other treasures found whilst conquering the quadrant!

The process was long, but so so enjoyable. I'll definitely pick up clay again for another project.  I took a few "during" photos for those interested.

A week on from Orlando

I know a week has passed since Orlando, and in the age of fleeting news stories that may as well be a year!

I however have not forgotten. Being a proud Trekkie who's favourite quote and philosophy for life is the core of Vulcan philosophy, IDIC (Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations), this image spoke very loudly to me.

We are Orlando. Reflection on the 12 June attack from a Trekkie's perspective. IDIC. Star Trek.

It matters not what sexual orientation you are, or what race, gender, age or class you are. It matters not whether you are lucky enough to be blessed with full health or whether you have a physical or mental disability. It certainly matters not what you look like, and it matters not what your religious or political affiliation is.

So long as you treat your fellow humans with respect, you never know what friends you may make and what things you may learn if you open yourself up others.

Spread love, not hate.
