Pastel Colour Challenge - 70th Birthday Card

I am part of a lovely small group on Facebook that sets interesting and fun challenges each month to stretch our minds. This card is one such piece!

Made for a Colour Palette challenge involving only pastel colours, this card seriously stirred up the old grey matter as I am NOT usually as pastel girl at all!

Anyway, embrace the challenge I did, and used the opportunity to create a 70th birthday card for a special Aunty. So here it is! ...

I used various flower dies along with Tonic ornate tag and flourish dies. The rolled flowers were cut and rolled by hand.

The flower edges and happy birthday sentiment were inked in Watering Can Archival Ink.

The cardstock in the background was embossed using strip embossing folders. The tag string and paper spirals were made using recycled papers and bits from around the home!

Thankyou for stopping by.
