Books! (book page swap 2 of 12)

Welcome to another of my blog posts showing you the wonderful pages I made as part of a wonderful book swap with 13 fellow crafters dotted all over the world!

More about this swap can be found in my Book Swap Introduction HERE.

So, onto the second page of 12! This page was for Erin Stewart, using her chosen theme of BOOKS.

I used the following materials/steps for this page:

I wanted the front cover of this book to look like an old fashioned book so used a combination of clear embossing powder, gold embossing powder and spray inks over a piece of black painted chipboard to get this effect.

The hinge flourishes are from Lisa at That Craft Place.
These were painted black then embossed with gold embossing powder.

For each of the pages I glued single sided paper together and inked the edges with Archival Ink in Watering Can (from That Craft Place).

The clock image was a free image from google and the images on either side of the tag were cut from a sheet of pattern paper I had in my stash.

The larger words (Maths Nerd, Dog, and The End) were cut using an amazing die by First Edition Craft (also from That Craft Place!).

The small letters were stamped in Archival Ink using a tiny set of letter stamps by Dove Craft.

I hand drew and cut out the crown and embossed with gold embossing powder.

The scooter image is by BackLane Artist (on Etsy) and was coloured using Promarkers.

Here are photos of the rest of the book themed book page!:

Erin is a dear friend and I knew straight away what I wanted to do for her page!  This little story is all about her!

This is the tag in the pocket on the Maths Nerd page:

I'd like to quickly finish off by showing you the page that Erin made for me, using my theme of Science Fiction:

A big thank you for stopping by!  Please come back tomorrow to see the next book page in this series and check the home page for ones posted already!
